| Our May 10 program will feature Mary Allen, Recycling and Education Director of the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County (SWANCC). She will provide an overview of SWANCC and its mission, as well as highlighting its programs and resources. Her presentation will address the impacts that China’s “Green Sword” is having on the exportation of recyclable commodities, why there are limitations on what we can put in curbside programs and how the concept of a circular economy can provide sustainable solutions. Mary will be happy to entertain questions, promoting a discussion among attendees. |
