Please join NWSOFA Stand With Women at the 2020 Women’s March. Women’s March Chicago and 20 additional organizations are hosting this year’s Women’s March on January 18th at Grant Park. “With so much at stake, 2020 is going to be a BIG year, and together we must #MakeItCount! Come out and make your voices heard on the issues that matter to you most! Women’s Rights. Racial Justice. LGBTQ+ Rights. Equal Pay. Health Care. Immigrant Rights. Women’s Reproductive Rights. Violence-Free Communities. Voting Rights. Impeachment. Mass Incarceration. Social Justice. Climate Change. Gun Violence Prevention. Disability Rights. Census 2020. Bring your friends, family members, voices and signs, as we march through the streets of downtown, and let the world know that Chicago is at the forefront of change!” NWSOFA Stand With Women will be hosting a poster making party on 1/13/2020 at 6:30- 8:30pm. Location is the Greater Palatine Area Democrats office, 1310 W Northwest Hwy, Arlington Heights. Please copy this link to sign up for poster making https://act.indivisible.org/event/attend-local-actions/150197 Stand With Women will meet on 1/18/2020 at 10:15am in front of the Art Institute at the north lion. At 10:30 we will proceed to Grant Park to be ready or the March that starts at 11:00am. Transportation- For those who would like to travel by Metra, we will meet at the Palatine train station. Or for those who are starting out at a different station on the UP Norhtwest line meet us in the first car of the train. The train leaves Palatine at 8:25am and arrives at Ogilvie Transportation Center at 9:23am. We will divide up and take taxies to the Art Institute. I recommend using the rest room at the train station if possible. There is another train that leaves Palatine at 9:25am arriving at Ogilvie at 10:09. If you plan to take the later train, be aware that large crowds are anticipated, so the trains may be running like late. Remember to dress warm, bring your posters, and wear your pink hat if you have one.
