H.R.1 – For the People Act of 2019 – we will explain the details and importance of passing H.R.1, also called “The Restoring Our Democracy” bill. H.R.1 covers three main planks: campaign finance reform, strengthening the government’s ethics laws, and expanding voting rights. Important changes to these three aspects of our elected government that are critical to our democracy are needed. This session will summarize the important aspects of each section of H.R.1 to enable you to be an informed supporter this important legislation.
