I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s Water Safety Webinar, and am excited to launch the next step—with your help—in a year long investigation into America’s water from the Guardian and Consumer Reports.

In case you need it again, the Zoom link to join tomorrow, July 14th, at 1pm ET/ 10am PT is here.

I am thrilled to work with you on this important issue!  We’ll be talking about testing your water, as well as the other ways that you can shape our work to make sure water is Affordable, High-Quality, and Accessible to all.

Water has been something we’ve been thinking about at CR since 1974, when we published a landmark three-part series (PDF) revealing that water purification systems in many communities had not kept pace with increasing levels of pollution and that many community water supplies might be contaminated.

More than 45 years later, America is still struggling with a dangerous divide between those who have access to safe and affordable drinking water and those who don’t. Communities of color often are affected disproportionately by this inequity. CR  remains committed to exposing the weaknesses in our country’s water system, including raising questions about Americans’ reliance on bottled water as an alternative—and the safety and sustainability implications of this dependence.

Tomorrow, let’s get to work to on the next step!
