SWW had an amazing first meeting last month. Thank you to everyone who participated. There are so many actions that are taking place to help our communities – because of you. If you could not make it last month come this Thursday 2/10/22 7:00pm. We will also be welcoming Chelsea Laliberte to our 2/10/22 meeting. Chelsea is a candidate running for IL. State Representative Dist 51. She has spearheaded “Fed Up”-a coalition to end the Opioid Addiction and to look at the issues that bring a person to that addiction. Chelsea also wishes to hear what our most urgent concerns are as women. mothers, healthcare providers, teachers, business people, and passionate citizens. She is excited to join us on Thursday.

The current Roe V Wade vote in Mississippi and Texas has thrown uncertainty into the future of women and their productive rights. Also, the Pandemic has put a spotlight on the unique struggles and inequities we women have in the workplace, with family care, and housing security. These are some of the topics that we can all share on together-and more. What would you like to focus on- what’s happening in your world that needs change or improvement. I want to know. Please submit an issue, a concern that we can add to the agenda. I look forward to meeting all of you on Jan.10th
