NWSOFA Indivisible Partner Event: After Parkland Film Event

February 12, 2020 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm

                A special invitation

When: Thursday, February 12 at 6:30 pm
Where: Regal Webster Place 11
1471 West Webster Ave., Chicago

Please join the ILGVP Coalition (Illinois Gun Violence Prevention Coalition) for a screening of After Parkland.  As we approach the two year anniversary of the Parkland shooting, let’s honor the many victims of this senseless act; not only the victims, but the families, classmates, and community members left to pick up the pieces in the aftermath.

Filmed in the days after the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in 2018 that killed 17 people and launched a nationwide student movement, this intimate chronicle follows the students and families whose lives were forever transformed – including senior David Hogg, who recorded his class during the attack and became the face of the Never Again movement. Weaving together interviews with the victims’ loved ones, verite footage, and personal videos, After Parkland is a moving portrait of grief and one community’s crusade to turn tragedy into progress.

We need to hit a minimum number of ticket sales for the event to take place.  You will NOT be charged unless the minimum 50 ticket threshold is met.  Click here for ticket information.

At the screening we will have resources about Illinois’s “Red Flag” Firearm Restraining Order (FRO) law and SB1966 the BIO Bill to Fix the FOID.

Please join us.

Sincerely,
Laura Williams
