Each month, WHILE WE FOCUS ON IL, we share National news and legislation as we gather to honor those affected and to renew our commitment to fostering safer neighborhoods.

As part of our ongoing initiative, we invite you to our next Gun Violence Prevention Zoom on July 24th. This event is open to all who wish to learn, share, and help build lasting solutions.

Our upcoming session will focus on actionable steps everyone can take, from promoting responsible gun storage to supporting legislation aimed at reducing gun violence.

We’ll feature guest speakers, provide important resources, and offer time for open discussion. Whether you’re new to the cause or a long-time advocate, your voice and presence matter.

Community involvement plays a critical role in prevention efforts. By coming together, we amplify effective strategies such as safe firearm handling, youth mentorship programs, and public education campaigns. Small changes—safe locks, secure storage, and awareness—can make a true difference in keeping homes and streets safe.
