Learn About Black Legends Carved Out in Downstate Illinois!

Thursday, February 2nd 7:30 PM

You’ve probably heard of the famous Tuskegee Airmen, but did you know that unit started at downstate Rantoul’s Chanute Air Base? And that’s not the only Black Legend that has its roots right here in Rural Illinois!

We welcome back noted educator Dr. Barbara Suggs Mason, who will tell us about the Illinois history of the Tuskegee Airmen.

Fiscal & Economics January – February Meeting

The economy continues to report mostly good news.  The current Continuing Resolution was just extended by Congress to avoid a government shutdown. Come join us and discuss the current state of the US economy.
