The Citizens Utility Board (CUB) is Illinois’ nonprofit watchdog organization, created to advocate for consumers and ensure fair utility rates and reliable, clean energy service. It’s mission is to protect consumers while advancing a clean, affordable, and sustainable energy future.

Matt Harvey has been with CUB for 11 years and currently helps to coordinate and plan workshops within the organization’s Outreach Department. With extensive experience in monitoring Illinois’ fast-evolving utility policies,

In Decarbonization 101, Matt will explain what “decarbonization” means, why it’s such an urgent priority, and what tools and policies are being developed to reduce carbon emissions across Illinois and beyond.
