Cuts to Medicaid and Medicare”

Indivisible Illinois for an urgent discussion on the renewed threats to Medicaid and Medicare led by the Trump administration and MAGA members of Congress. These essential programs are lifelines for millions of Americans—including seniors, people with disabilities, and low-income families. Yet extremist politicians continue to push cruel budget cuts that would strip healthcare from the most vulnerable among us.

We’ll dive into what these proposed cuts mean, how they fit into the broader MAGA agenda, and what we can do to fight back. Featuring healthcare advocates, policy experts, and grassroots organizers, this event will offer clear actions we can take to protect and expand access to care.

Healthcare is a human right—not a bargaining chip for MAGA extremists. Stand with us and take action.

– Unemployment increases by .1% to 4.2%,

– Inflation (CPI) rose .1% in March, 12-month + 2.8% ..

– Average hourly earnings have increased by 3.0 % over past 12 mths

– Labor force participation rate at 62.5 %.

On Saturday, April 26th, from noon to 2 p.m., a critical moment of action will unfold in Northbrook, Illinois. The “Tesla Takedown” protest, sponsored by Indivisible Evanston, NWSOFA-Indivisible, and Indivisible Skokie, will take place at 1200 Skokie Blvd., near the Tesla dealership, as well as on the Dundee/Edens bridge. This event is not just a protest; it’s a crucial stand against the influence of Elon Musk and his ties to divisive figures like Donald Trump.

The Time to Act is Now:

As Musk continues to wield significant power over public discourse and policy, it’s imperative that we act swiftly to challenge his influence. This protest is part of a broader movement to hold Musk accountable for his actions and to urge Tesla owners to divest from the company. By joining this event, you will be part of a collective voice demanding change and promoting accountability.

Every voice matters, and every presence counts in this fight.
