_Join Ed Spire Co-Lead of NWSOFA-Indivisible’s Restore Our Democracy Issue Team on Monday, September 29 at 7pm CST for Why Is Trump Back? What Happened, How to Fix?”.. Ed Spire on Globalization.. Mon, 9/29@7P CST Zoom based on the book “Globalization — The World’s Worst Bet,” a Zoom event hosted by NWSOFA-Indivisible._

Ed will break down the major arguments from David J. Lynch’s eye-opening new book so that attendees can understand how global market forces have shaped — and often undermined — economic stability in the United States and beyond.

Lynch, 7a veteran journalist who has reported for The Washington Post and Financial Times, brings frontline experience to the story of globalization’s rise and unraveling. The presentation will tackle crucial questions: Why were open markets seen as the path to shared prosperity? How did we fail to manage globalization, and what are the consequences for jobs, wages, and democracy?

Ed’s clear summary and discussion will help everyone step back from partisan spin and consider what went wrong, what economic challenges loom ahead, and how future policy could better serve American families. Mark your calendar for a lively, informative discussion and bring your questions for an engaging evening!

“Join “SHARING OUR STORIES

With Jody Rein, Indivisible’s Sr Mgr-Campaigns

Practice Indivisible’s Truth Brigade’s “Truth Sandwich” framework for disrupting misinformation

Tuesday, September 30th @ 7PM central / 8PM eastern – Zoom_

_Our very own Sharing Our Stories (SOS) Group is hosting its 5th meeting dedicated to amplifying the voices of those affected by the harmful policies of the Trump administration. In this week’s session we will provide an update on our Sharing Our Stories Initiative and have Indivisible’s Jody Rein as our Special Guest presenter._

Speaker Jody Rein Indivisible, Senior Manager of Campaigns for Indivisible

We’re thrilled to welcome Jody Rein as our featured guest speaker. Jody Rein is a Senior Manager of Campaigns for Indivisible. She co-created the Truth Brigade and Grow Grants programs, and before that was the regional organizer for Colorado. Before that, she worked in the book publishing industry as Executive Acquisitions Editor, Literary Agent and author.

Join us as we practice the Indivisible Truth Brigade’s “Truth Sandwich” framework for disrupting misinformation in finding common ground in your everyday conversations with people.

It’s no secret that disinformation is one of the strongest tools in the authoritarian playbook. As the administration frantically races to spread chaos and lies to hide the power consolidation, millions are personally — sadly — experiencing loss of livelihoods and even lives. Our role as disinformation-fighters has never been more urgent. As trust in institutions erodes, we have a critical opportunity: To build back trust in a civil society through human connection.

We know three keys:

Our hearts and minds are not won through argument Disinformers craft messages to gain attention by triggering fears about our ability to live safely and securely, and to divide and confuse the populace

Most people spread disinformation accidentally or inadvertently

Join us on Sept 30th for a powerful evening of connection, learning, and action. By coming together as the Indivisible community, we can ensure our voices—our stories—shape the future we want to see.

_Everyone in our Indivisible community is welcome; every voice matters. Join us to learn from Jody, connect with fellow change-makers, and help turn lived experience into a call for compassion and justice. Your participation will be invaluable as we work together for lasting change._
