“Join Sorting Soup: – Book Club”

A Book Club for Resistance & Resilience

EVRY THURSDAYS & SUNDAYS – Zoom @ 5PM CT

Feeling overwhelmed by the scale of what we’re facing? You’re not alone. That’s why Sorting Soup has evolved into a space where we do more than just talk about the news—we read the blueprints, name the patterns, and build the knowledge we need to resist authoritarianism with clarity and purpose. We’re currently a dedicated book club diving deep into two essential guides for this moment: Randy Allen Walker’s Project 2025 Survival Guide, and for balance Stewart “Brittlestar” Reynolds’ Lessons from Cats for Surviving Fascism. These aren’t just books—they’re survival manuals, organizing tools, and invitations to understand exactly what’s being built around us so we can dismantle it together.

Every Thursday at 5PM Central, we gather on Zoom to read aloud, process collectively, and connect the dots between policy, history, and our lived realities. Each session begins with a brief check-in where we see who’s in the room and what’s on our hearts, then we dive straight into the text—whether it’s dissecting a chapter of Project 2025’s attack on civil rights or learning tactical lessons from feline resistance strategies. We read together, we react honestly, and we make space for both grief and action. No one has to carry this alone. Whether you come to listen, to read aloud, or to ask the hard questions, your voice matters here.

Sunday Seconds: Go Deeper, Catch Up, or Just Breathe

Missed Thursday? Need more time with the material? Just want to process with a smaller, quieter group? That’s what Sunday Seconds is for.

So grab your book, your coffee, and your courage—the soup’s on, and there’s always room for one more spoon in the pot. Let’s read, resist, and rise together.
