JOIN US for a Braver Angels “Skills for Disagreeing Better.” as part of the NWSOFA Indivisible Vision Forward 2.0 Bridging series.

In our current political environment, many people avoid or dread political conversations with friends or family members whose politics differ from their own. They worry, rightly so, that any attempts at political discussions will devolve into arguments and acrimony.

And even when the conversation isn’t about politics, many people still avoid discussions where they expect disagreements may occur.

Either way, this Braver Angels workshop is for you!! This workshop provides skills for having respectful conversations that clarify differences, search for common ground, and affirm the importance of the relationship. It also gives participants a safe environment to practice these skills.

As Braver Angels of Central Texas advertises: “You’ll be rewarded with skills you can use immediately.”

The goal is not to change people’s political views, but to build understanding, challenge stereotypes, and strengthen democratic culture by helping people disagree without dehumanizing one another.
