Join us and our Guest Speaker, David Melton, Interim Executive Director of Reform For Illinois, for an overview of their activities. RFI is currently developing a coalition of organizations to eliminate the influence of money in politics. This has also been the focus of the presentations our group has been presenting in and around Chicago.
David was part of the Mayer Brown and Foley & Lardner pro-bono team that sued the State of Illinois to compel compliance with federal statutes requiring “Motor Voter” registrations.
He has extensive experience in Illinois state and local politics with a focus on campaign finance, civil liberties, and election reform.
We have asked David to include us in that coalition.
