NWSOFA Indivisible Partner Event: GPAD at the Palatine St. Patrick’s Day Parade

March 14, 2020 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

GPAD Marches in St. Patrick’s Day Parade March 14!

UPDATED INFORMATION! We are Number 24 in the parade lineup! Democrats and Progressives, Candidates and our wonderful Electeds are welcome to join GPAD in marching in the annual Palatine St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Free parking available in the parking garage at Colfax and Smith, near the train station. Walk to the staging area at the intersection of East Wood Street and North Oak Street at Village Hall. Lineup is at 10:30, and the parade kicks off at 11 a.m. The parade proceeds west on Wood Street to Smith, then turns right and ends at Smith and Colfax. We will have a car where you can post your candidate signs. Volunteers needed to carry GPAD signs! The theme of the parade is “Paint the Town Green.” So wear lots of green, and your craziest St. Patrick’s Day headgear!

If you need to drop off people or stuff, you need to enter northbound Oak Street from Palatine Road. This is the only access point for vehicles. We have one car in the parade with us–this car also needs to enter the parade route by going northbound on Oak Street from Palatine Road.

See you there!
