NWSOFA–Indivisible invites you to Origin Stories, a new limited Zoom series, Thursday, Sept 3 @7 CDT
NWSOFA–Indivisible invites you to Origin Stories, a new limited Zoom series beginning Thursday, September 3, at 7:00 p.m. CDT. Together, we’ll explore the stories Americans are taught about our country’s founding—and why those stories still matter in today’s struggle for democracy and social justice.
Author Joel Edward Goza will guide the series through a critical examination of the American Revolution, the Founding Fathers, and the Constitution they created.

Rather than treating the nation’s origins as settled history, Origin Stories asks how those foundational ideals, contradictions, and conflicts continue to shape the political realities we face today.
The series will also look to the agents of change throughout American history—people and movements who confronted injustice, expanded democracy, and challenged the country to live up to its promises.
Their work offers both context and inspiration for the challenges before us now.
Joel Edward Goza is the author of America’s Unholy Ghosts: The Racist Roots of Our Faith and Politics and Rebirth of a Nation: Reparations and Remaking America.
Join NWSOFA–Indivisible on Zoom for Chapter One, “What Drove the Revolution?”, Thursday, September 3 at 7:00 p.m. CDT.
